Presented in dialogue with Kent Monkman’s exhibition History is Painted by the Victors, the visual identity for the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts’ 2025 Ball navigates between institutional heritage and contemporary expression. Drawing on a botanical and ornamental world inspired by the exhibition’s rich narrative and the atmosphere of the Ball, the identity unfolds through a vibrant visual language where textures, ornament and typography come together to create an immersive system spanning digital, print and scenography.
